We travelled around Komodo national park on a Standard boat, with an other couple in the middle of September 2020.
Organizing the tour was more than easy, as the Bajo Rental team is super responsive and reliable, also thousands of km away. They answered precisely to all our questions and the payment was also easy to proceed. A certain amount has to be paid beforehand and the remaining amount the day before boarding on the boat (we went to the agency directly).
Our tour was incredible. Better than anything that we could have expected. The guide and his crew were simply the best: making sure we were safe at all time during snorkeling – stream can be strong (one of the crew member follows you on a small boat, you can swim with the guide, and the two other members of the crew also check on you from the main boat), cooking delicious and different dishes and snacks over the days, taking some beautiful pictures, explaining us more about the biodiversity in the sea of Komodo as well as the surrounding nature.
The Standard boat itself is very comfortable and spacious (we were four). There is space on the deck for sunbathing, some space on the deck to lay down, a dining table, some cabins with two double beds and two bathrooms. The pictures are perfectly similar to the reality.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have been part of this trip. You’ll tick many dreams on your bucket list everyday. Sharing such an emotional experience like swimming with the manta rays, the turtles, multicolore fishes and corals, watching dolphins jumping in the distance or flying foxes at sunset, all this with this amazing crew, was priceless.
Our guide made sure that our Komodo experience was unforgettable and it worked! Ardhi (sorry for any spelling mistake?), you are a talented guide and a beautiful person. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you again for everything and we hope to see you again soon!
