Planning a 3-day 2-night (3D2N) trip to Labuan Bajo? The most popular way to experience it is aboard a traditional phinisi liveaboard — and Leticia Liveaboard is one of the best options available. Built from Sulawesi ironwood (ulin), this 7.6m x 29m phinisi fits up to 24 passengers, comes fully equipped with AC and private bathrooms, and offers packages ranging from IDR 5 million to IDR 8.5 million per person. In three days, you'll island-hop from Kelor and Kalong to Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, and more.

What Is a 3D2N Labuan Bajo Trip?

A 3 Days 2 Nights (3D2N) Labuan Bajo package gives you three full days of exploration while spending two nights sleeping aboard a phinisi. This format is the most popular choice for visitors — long enough to cover the highlights of Komodo National Park, short enough to fit a busy schedule. You'll visit multiple islands, snorkel over vibrant coral reefs, trek to panoramic hilltops, and watch dramatic bat migrations — all without leaving the boat to check into a hotel.

3D2N Labuan Bajo Itinerary

Here's a detailed day-by-day breakdown of what to expect on a 3D2N Leticia Liveaboard trip through Labuan Bajo.

Day 1

1:00 PM — Kelor Island

Your journey begins at Kelor Island, a small but stunning gem that's often overlooked in favor of bigger names. The island greets you with soft white sand and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkeling. The coral reefs here are pristine and teeming with colorful fish. Don't skip the short but steep hike up the island's hill — the 360-degree view from the top, with blue sea and scattered islands below, is absolutely worth the effort. Bring your camera.

3:00 PM — Menjerite Island

Next stop is Menjerite Island, a quiet and compact island ideal for relaxing and snorkeling. The water is exceptionally clear, and the snorkel spots here are beginner-friendly — no diving experience needed. The marine life is approachable, with colorful reef fish swimming right up to you. It's a calm, unhurried spot that's perfect for winding down before sunset.

5:00 PM — Kalong Island

As the sun begins to set, the boat heads to Kalong Island — named after the thousands of flying foxes (fruit bats) that call it home. Don't worry, they stay in the trees until dusk. When the sky turns golden, thousands of bats take flight simultaneously, filling the horizon in sweeping formations. It's one of the most unique wildlife spectacles in all of Labuan Bajo. Have your camera ready — this is a moment you'll want to capture.

Day 2

7:00 AM — Padar Island

Rise early for Padar Island, arguably the most iconic viewpoint in Komodo National Park. The hike to the summit is moderately challenging but very manageable — and the panorama from the top is one of the most photographed landscapes in Indonesia. You'll see multiple bays with differently colored sand stretching out below you. Beyond the view, Padar also has a rare pink-sand beach where you can swim and snorkel in calm, transparent water.

10:00 AM — Long Pink Beach

Long Pink Beach is exactly what it sounds like — a long stretch of beach with genuinely pink-hued sand. The color comes from a natural mix of white sand and crushed pink coral fragments. In direct sunlight, the effect is striking and very photogenic. The water here is calm and clear, making it one of the best snorkeling spots on the route. Underwater, you'll find healthy coral gardens and schools of colorful fish. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and enjoy.

2:00 PM — Komodo Island

The centerpiece of any Labuan Bajo trip: Komodo Island, home of the Komodo dragon — the world's largest living lizard, found nowhere else on Earth. Komodo Island is part of Komodo National Park, which also includes Rinca and Padar islands. You'll trek through savanna and forest accompanied by a park ranger for safety. Beyond the dragons, the island's waters are world-class for snorkeling and diving — clear, rich with coral, and frequented by manta rays and sea turtles.

4:00 PM — Taka Makassar

Taka Makassar is not a traditional island — it's a sandbar that emerges from the turquoise sea at low tide. Blindingly white sand, surrounded by electric blue water: it's one of the most photogenic spots in Labuan Bajo. It's also a well-known manta ray hotspot. Swim around the sandbar and you may find yourself drifting alongside large manta rays gliding effortlessly through the water. An unforgettable experience.

Day 3

9:00 AM — Kanawa Island

Your final stop is Kanawa Island, a hidden gem near Labuan Bajo that remains relatively quiet compared to the park's bigger attractions. The water here grades beautifully from green to deep blue, the sand is powdery white, and the snorkeling is superb. Coral reefs are intact and thriving, with diverse marine life throughout. It's the perfect place to wrap up the trip — relaxed, scenic, and unhurried.
