Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Bajo Rental website or making a booking. By accessing or using our services you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and PT Indahnesia Holding Group, trading as Bajo Rental ("Bajo Rental", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, with its principal place of business in Labuan Bajo, Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia.

By submitting an inquiry, making a booking, or using any part of the bajorental.com website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full.

2. Services

Bajo Rental operates a curated rental platform offering cars, motorbikes, boats, boat charters, and equipment (including drones, GoPro cameras, and snorkeling gear) at destinations across Indonesia.

Bajo Rental is not a marketplace. We own the customer relationship end-to-end. While rental units may be fulfilled by vetted local partners, the customer deals exclusively with Bajo Rental at all times — for booking, communication, payment, and after-trip support. Customers have no direct contractual relationship with fulfilment partners.

All partners are reviewed and onboarded by our team. Standards of vehicle condition, safety, and service are set and monitored by Bajo Rental.

3. Booking Process

Bookings are initiated by submitting an inquiry through the Bajo Rental website or via WhatsApp. Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking.

Upon receiving your inquiry, our team will review availability and send you a formal quote. A booking is confirmed only after:

  • You have accepted the quoted price and terms.
  • The required deposit or full payment has been received and confirmed by Bajo Rental.

Payment is processed through Xendit, our licensed payment gateway. Bajo Rental accepts Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), US Dollar (USD), Singapore Dollar (SGD), and Australian Dollar (AUD).

4. Pricing

All prices listed on bajorental.com are denominated in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Prices displayed in other currencies are converted at the prevailing exchange rate at the time of display and are indicative only. The binding price is always the IDR amount stated in your confirmed booking.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. A price displayed on the website is not a guaranteed quote until a formal written quote has been issued by our team and a booking has been confirmed in accordance with Section 3.

Seasonal rates, public holiday surcharges, and special event pricing may apply. Any applicable surcharges will be clearly stated in your quote.

5. Payment Terms

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit amount varies by rental type and will be specified in your quote. Typical deposit structures are:

  • Day rentals (cars, motorbikes, gear): full payment required at confirmation.
  • Multi-day rentals and boat charters: 50% deposit at confirmation, balance due on or before the rental start date.
  • Long-term bookings: payment schedule agreed in writing at time of booking.

Payment may be made by bank transfer to our designated account or via a Xendit payment invoice sent by our team. We do not accept cash payments arranged independently outside of these channels.

Your booking is at risk of cancellation if the balance due is not received by the agreed date. Bajo Rental will make reasonable efforts to contact you before releasing the booking.

6. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for the following:

  • Identification. You must present a valid national identity card (KTP) or passport at the time of rental pick-up or delivery. Failure to provide valid ID may result in the rental being refused without refund.
  • Driving licence. A valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category is mandatory for all vehicle rentals (cars and motorbikes). International Driving Permits are accepted. You are solely responsible for ensuring your licence is valid and covers the rental vehicle type.
  • Care of rented items. You are responsible for all rented equipment, vehicles, or watercraft during the rental period. You must return items in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted.
  • Damage reporting. Any damage, loss, or malfunction must be reported to Bajo Rental immediately. Do not attempt to arrange repairs independently without our prior written consent.
  • Lawful use. Rented items must be used only for lawful purposes and in accordance with any operating instructions or restrictions provided at the time of rental.
  • Costs for damage or loss. You will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement of any rented item damaged or lost during your rental period, regardless of cause, except where expressly covered by an insurance product in writing.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation terms vary by rental type and lead time. Please refer to our dedicated Cancellation Policy page for full details, including applicable refund timelines and amounts.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@bajorental.com or via WhatsApp. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

8. Limitation of Liability

Bajo Rental arranges rentals through vetted local partners. While we maintain quality standards across our partner network, we are not the direct owner or operator of every vehicle, vessel, or piece of equipment in our catalogue.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indonesian law, Bajo Rental shall not be liable for:

  • Events of force majeure, including but not limited to adverse weather, rough sea conditions, natural disasters, volcanic activity, government-imposed travel restrictions, pandemics, or civil unrest.
  • Mechanical breakdown or failure of vehicles or equipment beyond normal maintenance standards.
  • Personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from misuse of rented items.
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings left in or on rented vehicles, vessels, or equipment.

Insurance coverage varies by rental type. Details of any available insurance products will be provided in your booking confirmation. It is the customer's responsibility to arrange adequate travel insurance for their trip.

Where Bajo Rental is found liable, our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific rental giving rise to the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on bajorental.com, including but not limited to text, photography, illustrations, logos, brand marks, and software, is the exclusive property of PT Indahnesia Holding Group or its licensed content providers. All rights reserved.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or commercially exploit any content from bajorental.com without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use may constitute an infringement of copyright or trademark law.

10. Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using our services you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described therein.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia.

12. Changes to These Terms

Bajo Rental reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. The updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of bajorental.com or our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically, particularly before making a booking.
